| In the JSHCT survey of 14,801 adult trasnplants and 7,283
child transplants reported, 1,366 reported adult transplants and 1,024
reported child transplants conducted after 1993 from unrelated donors
were excluded for they are also reported to JMDP. 4,352 transplants through
JMDP were added to be 24,046 transplants reported to JSHCT survey and
JMDP (analyses dataset 1, overlapped cases excluded). Transplants conducted
between 1991 and 2002 were 22,298 transplants (analysiis dataset 2, 1,391
transplants conducted before 1991, and 83 transplants conducted in 2003,
and 274 transplants with unknown transplant day were excluded). First
transplants conducted between 1991 and 2002 were 20,043 transplants (2,225
second or after transplants were excluded). The cases who underwent unrelated
allo-BMT not through the JMDP before 1993 were also included in the analysis. a. Analyses dataset 1 All reported transplants (overlapped cases excluded) b. Analyses dataset 2 Transplants between 1991 and 2002 c. Analyses dataset 3 First transplants between 1991 and 2002 JSHCT survey started its survey for subjects received transplant after July, 1990. Transplants conducted before 1990 were reported spontaneously from transplant centers, yet reporting status vary widely between transplant centers. For that reason, the main alalyses used analyses dataset 1 and analyses dataset 2. Analyses concerning the nubmer of transplants conducted in transplant centers and in prefecters were done using analyses dataset 1. Analyses concerning patient characteristics were done by using analyses daataset 2.
